Timing:

  • July 2026 – Contract signed, initial supplier payment, and work started

  • Late-2026 Solar panels installed and operational

  • Mid-2027 Federal credits for panels

  • Mid-2027 Battery system installed

  • Mid-2028 Federal credits for battery system

Financials:

  • Cost: $113,116 ($226,232 less a 50% federal credit)

  • Payback: 7 to 9 years depending on future electricity cost and federal credit assumptions

  • Funding goal: $115,000 in member donations to cover system cost

    • Donations Received - $67,500

    • Pledges - $7,000

    • Additional Donations Needed - $40,500

  • Bridge Loan: $99,000 to cover period between supplier payment and receipt of federal credits. Application is presently being filled out at UPC.
